So here we are, now what the heck was I bragging about?
We (mainly, I) decided to create this blog because we know all too often that cooking and planning meals can be a challenge; however eating out and quick meals; like sandwiches & pasta, were quickly eating into our all ready tight budget and our waist lines! Not to mention we were getting sick and tired of eating the same things all the time.
In an effort to improve not only the budget, but to establish good nutrition for all of us & add some variety into our lives, our meal planning and recipe box were born.
We were finding that our friends and family often wanted us to share our recipes because they needed inspiration; or to simply prepare them for their family, thus Chopping with the Chapo’s was born.
Some things to take note on:
- Not all of these recipes are my original creation; in each recipe I will make sure to credit the source that I found the recipe from.
- Because we are trying to lose weight in our house (at least the hubby and I are), I substitute with the healthier option when I can; fat free sour cream, 99%fat free cream of mushroom soup, you get the picture.
